Blessed Glycerine.

I just realized that the tune "Blessed Be Your Name" by Matt Redman is a bad version of Bush's "Glycerine." I like the lyrical progression and fluctuation of "Glycerine" much better. I grew up on "Christian music." My early days of adolescence were filled with DC Talk, Audio Adrenaline, and Newsboys. I have since discovered that there is actually good music out there. I would highly suggest Iron & Wine, Matt Nathanson, Radiohead, U2, Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Jack Johnson, Dashboard Confessional, Pedro the Lion, Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, The Fray, and others that deserve to be listed but would result in exhaustive list making.
Please include your recommendations in a comment.
Thank you.
SHAME ON ME: I nearly forgot James Taylor.

Nate you can say Elton, but it better not be anything from the Lion King or since.

Travis, growing up in Canada I knew Bush by the name of 'Bush X' since there was a band already call Bush in Canada. It wasn't until I was a Sophomore did the name change. Of course one more thing to make me some dumb to my classmates.

Here is list of Canadian Music Additions: Sloan, The Guess Who, Bachman Turner Overdrive, The Tragically Hip, Neil Young, David Usher (Moist), The Tea Party, Barenaked Ladies, 54-40, and The Killjoys. Look them up on youtube if you can handle it.

Red.
Leeland.
Goo Goo Dolls.
4th Avenue Jones.

And check out "Self-Conclusion" by The Spill Canvas. I haven't heard any of their other songs, so I can't recommend the group as a whole. But Self-Conclusion is very good.

Matthew 5:38-48, NASB

"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone want to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you. You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? If you greet only you brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
