maybe happiness is the goal of success. are you really successful if you have seem to achieve your goals but lack happiness? or is happiness an over arching thing that is used to bind success? maybe we're happiest when we are the most selfish.
Christ was successful (in terms of succeeding in his "mission" or fulfilling prophecies of a coming heavenly King to fulfill a covenant with God's people).
I wouldn't say he was happy, at least not in his final hours.
My question is....when does questioning become too much? Yes, we can ask questions all the time but there has to be answer to these some of these questions or these questions will just be empty question. I agree Jesus asked questions but he taught with them and used the answers to those question to enhance his teachings.
